Meet Danni Narwich

Dorothy (aka Danni to her friends and you) Narwich lives and beads in Jeffersonville, PA. Danni left the corporate world in 2003 and transformed her love for jewelry from a shopping experience to a jewelry making hobby. Danni soon became addicted to beads and signed up regularly for classes at local beads shops and bead shows. Since she couldn’t possible wear all of her creations, Danni started to sell her jewelry at local craft shows. (It’s hard to part with those beads but sharing is a nice thing to do). In 2006, Danni started doing business under the name, Bead Maven. She sells her jewelry creations and beaded objects through private commissions, and at local and juried craft shows. Danni’s passion is bead weaving; she loves peyote, brick, and herringbone stitches, bead embroidery and making beaded beads. Danni has been developing new jewelry designs and plans to teach these designs at local bead shops. When Danni isn’t actually beading, she works out at the gym (lifting weights helps keep you in shape for lugging glass beads around), reads about beads, gardens, shops for beads, travels a little, does some volunteer work, organizes her beads (that takes a lot of time since you have to spend quality time with each little stash) and continues to take jewelry making classes (this girl wants to learn it all!). When sleeping, Danni dreams about beads and jewelry design, especially those delightful delicas and free form anything. She admits that beading can be a 24/7 activity under those circumstances but what a magnificent obsession! It is an honor to have Danni teach for us.
