On Tropical Nail polish, and great new Beads

May 7, 2008

So suddenly we're into May already. And because I was
feeling flirty, I went off to have my first of the season -
pedicure.

Well, let me tell you - picking out the perfect shade of
toe color can be as overwhelming as a first time beader
walking into a bead store... Too many colors to choose from
- too many shades of pink, and reds, and oranges,
and...uh.. blue?

But eventually I settled on "Tropical Sunset" - a beautiful
corally pinky orange color, which, lucky for me - as it
turned out - would also compliment my purply-blue SPIDER
VARICOSE VEINS that have suddenly appeared on both my
insteps and ankles! What!! What the heck! ...it so terrible
getting old!

Anyway - overall, my Tropical toes are an improvement, and
the chair massage made me forget about my purple veins for
a bit...and I was happy to be out and about with my
daughter in the warm spring afternoon.

Good colors and a great season can make you forget about a
lot of things like that. Kinda like beading does - which
always makes me happy. As I know it does for more than a
few of you too.

So take advantage of seeing my Tropical toes when you come
in to see all the new colors of beads we have here at the
store. We beefed up the Stone beads - with some delightful
new stones in all shapes cuts and sizes, we got some new
sterling findings in - including Hip Chick beads, along
with Splendid Loon porcelain, new finishes and colors of
seed beads in yummy spring colors, a nice little selection
of Kazuri Beads, Borosilicate beads, and beautiful - dyable
- Acrylic flower components to make buttons or focals - the
kind featured on the cover of the April/May cover of
Beadwork Magazine, and we have some great Grace Lampwork
bead sets too! I've also been at the torch a bit more
coming up with some pretty combinations of Spring colors
for your project needs. Hurry on in to see them before
Karen buys them all. ;)

And remember, MOTHER'S DAY is this weekend! - there is
still plenty of time to make your someone special -
something special - with these great new beads selections.
(Or - better yet - just send Dad on in to buy a finished
piece or Gift Certificate!)

We've added some great new classes too - including Gina's
Wire Wrap Ring Trio & Beaded Wire bangles - Susan's Shake,
Rattle, & Roll, Sensuous (Get Hammered) Bracelet, Boro
Bubbles, Pearl Crochet, Hollywood Squares, & Zero Calorie
Donut, and Carol's beautiful Kumihimo Braiding and Calypso
Fringe Projects. Check the website for dates and details.

The spring/summer is also a perfect time to join in on our
free bead soirees, and drink a little Sangria along with
dipped strawberries, homemade brownies and share laughs
with good friends. We host them twice a month - with the
next one scheduled for May 21. Call to reserve your seat!

Also - look for our current Ad in the Clipper Magazine -
you can save up to $10.00 on your next purchases so bring
them in before they expire on the 23rd!

Well, that's it for now, my veins are throbbing and my eyes
are blurry - but my toes still look great!!

As always - thank you to everyone for your continued
support and bright & beautiful energies - we're digging
this new adventure - even if it is adding a new shade of
purple to my legs.

Happy beading, and Happy Mother's day to all my fellow
beading buddies.

Best,
Andrea & Carlie
