Hello my fine beading biddies -

I just wanted to give you a head's up - in case your head
is still down, that is - (because ya know, we're all busy
beading..)

BeadingDaily.com is compiling "The Big Bead Book" - an
online directory of everything beading - retail stores,
online stores, artisans, wholesalers, & suppliers, in an
effort to centralize your online search and also help you
find your "offline" needs as well.

The listings allow you to leave a NICE or not so nice,
comment and star rating about your **favorite** nudge,
nudge, places....ya know, like how you like your
experiences here at Buttercup Beads or at your other fine
beading establishments.

The one downside is that the site itself is still in its
"Beta" testing phase, and so they have their own kinks to
iron out - like it could be better organized and should
probably file the listings alphabetically - so to help you
navigate, I included the direct link for those of you who
might actually like to leave a comment.

Just copy and paste the following URL into your browser -
and it will take you directly to the Buttercup listing:

While you're at it - take a walk about "Beading Daily" to
see all that they have to offer. Sign up to get free
projects delivered directly to your emailbox too. It's a
great little site with a lot of good beading tips.

Now for other Buttercuppy news - just a quick date=up:

We now have a nice summery selection of Wood beads in
really great shapes and sizes - ovals, triangles, and
rectangles. You can use them alone or as interesting bead
frames. Lots of great possibilities with these fun little
beauties. Then we found beautifully dyed coconut heishi
beads in the most exotic shades of graduated colors...Yum.
Really fun, and a perfect addition to your summer beading
projects.

While you're in, also check out Meghan McBready's very
creative and beautifully constructed "Window pane"
pendants. Meg has soldered wonderful vignettes between mini
panes of glass and has them all ready for you to use on a
simple cord, or mixed in with other media in your next
project. A really perfect gift for a new graduate or young
at heart - each is really fun, really unique, and sure to
please.

We have other new artisan pieces in too - Gina Struebel is
selling some of her pretty wire-wrapped cabochons as well
as a nice assortment of crystal & wire wrapped rings in all
sizes and colors - perfect again for the summer.

Looking for the perfect ankle bracelet? Well, come in to
see what Faune Sneddon has made - these stretchy ankle
bracelets are sexy and are sure to get your pretty pedicure
noticed by everyone by the pool or at the beach.

Curious to see where I make my Lampwork beads? Then check
out the new "lampwork studio" page on the website. And no,
it isn't always that tidy...I did that just for you.

New classes are posted for May and June - and I'm still
working my way through June's scheduling - so check back
often.

The next Bead soiree is scheduled for May 21, and there are
still a couple three seats left. Call if you want us to
save you a seat - else you'll just have to wait until June
to get drunk. (Did I just say that?) Hey - it's *your*
party...I'm here just to enable you.

The May Clipper coupons will expire on May 21, so if you're
planning on using them - well hurry up! - Can't say I
didn't remind you. If you don't get this circular - you
can download coupons off their website at myclipper.com

whoops, one more update - to those of you who entered the
"Bead Star Contest" watch your mailboxes - voting begins in
June! Who knows, maybe we'll have a bead star right here in
our own little corner of the bead universe!

righto - that's it for now -

hope to see some, IF NOT ALL of you soon! Until then, be
well, and above all - happy beading.

smooches,
Andrea (and Carlie, who is out with her friends right now.)
