Hello! and Warm Spring Greetings to my fine fellow Buttercup Beaders!
Whew... are we glad that's over. The winter was brutal if not beautiful and we, like all of you, had mountains of snow and ice to contend with - it made us wonder if we would ever see green again..
I know it's been a while - but there was reason for that... Besides shoveling - we've were busy getting things ready for Spring with lots of new goodies happening at the store! While snowbound we've been busy restocking and expanding the beads in all shapes and styles, as well as coming up with new classes for you to dive into.
Like little buds of spring - the Delica beads selection has grown steadily and we've expanded a few other areas of the seed bead garden. New extra long magatamas, and bugles, and seed mixes, and cubes, and cute little new twisties. You will love these new seeds...
The Czech glass Bead Fairy dropped off a great new selections of Czech beads for your to drool over - including a new line of 8mm faceted Firepolish and lots of new great new colors in 3, 4, and 6mm sizes. We're still trying to get to the bottom of the box...
Then the Bead Bunny dropped off his basket of Easter Egg discounts just in time for the first day of Spring - so stop on in and find the very well hidden eggs all over the store to see what savings you get at checkout. Everything from free items, to free classes, and lots of surprise discounts hidden in those little eggs - The Egg Hunt will run from now until Easter.

Oh yes! The Classes -
This year, we've decided to push the class techniques up a notch and bring you more challenging seed and wire projects. Carlie and I know more than a few of you are ready for it - and so are we. We are going to still have all the oldies but goodies - but we will concentrate on more intermediate projects for us to do this year. Do not be afraid, little Grasshopper...
For those of you feeling ready to fly on your own - (or feel that my instructions are clear enough to follow..)We are also happy to announce that Class Instructions for most projects will now be available to purchase in store - and eventually added in the online store. (Kits are also in the works and will be coming in the next few months - just don't say you heard that here. It's a big job - and Carlie doesn't know - that she's going to have to do it yet...heh. heh. heh.)
Sue has also added the New "Knot Hard" Wire pendant, for Sunday, April 18, a huge curly knotted pendant that will be perfect for those summer outfits. It's Sue-Q-tastic!
Coming soon - Sue Q has scheduled a brilliant Silver fusing earring and pendant project for Saturday, May 1. This is an intermediate fusing class, and participants must have fusing experience. The project is stunning - be sure to take a look at the pictures on the website. Seating is seriously limited to only 5 people so sign up early! Class fees must be paid at time of registration to secure your seat.
Gina is hosting a great new wire workshop this Spring- called "Curly Cue - Wire workshop" on Saturday, April 17. She will cover almost every wire technique out there - and have you going home with a fantastic wire necklace.
Also, Gina is developing a beautiful Resin pendant class for the coming months - so stay tuned. Using Resin in your jewelry designs is one of the hottest new trends and classes this year.
If you still haven't tried PMC - now's the time! - Carol is holding PMC Basics on Saturday - April 24. And PMC - Mother Nature on May 22. We just love these classes! You will be seriously amazed at what you can create with a little lump of silver clay....
As for me - Look for my "Gorgeous Geometrics" seed class on April 8 & 20th. And Beautiful "Suraja" - on April 13 & 28. Beaded Amulet is new this year, as well at beaded Cabochon. I got a couple more cool ones I'm trying to get done and fit in for April so stay tuned -
In May - come see how Glass beads are made! - I'll be doing a Lampworking Demo on Sunday May 23 from 1-4pm. 10% off my Lampwork beads that day! I am hoping to be able to also offer an actual Lampworking workshop at the store for June -again, stay tuned...
Some classes are already posted on the calendar - but remember it is always a work in progress and I will be finalizing the April Schedule within the next week. So keep checking back!
There is probably more to say - but the CD is stuck, and I'm pretty tired and beginning to see dead relatives... (as I am sure you are too - to anyone that has read this far..)
But as always let me end with a sincerest thanks to all of you- I know I always end this way - but I always really mean it -
Thank you to all of you for making Buttercup Beads so special. Always, thank you for your patronage, your continued support and friendships. You make all the hard work so worth it. Thank you for all the love and all the laughter, for all the inspirations, and all the adventures. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives.
