Buttercup News September/October, 2010
Dear Buttercup Beaders -
I hope this note finds you well rested and ready to start a new season. I can't believe that summer is already over, but I am glad that the heat is finally subsiding. Now we can throw open the windows and be caressed by cooler, less humid air. I love the look of drapes blowing gently in the breeze, don't you?
I look forward to the scent of burning leaves and wisps of chimney smoke, Sunday football games, raking leaves and taking long walks. Autumn makes me want to plant bright fall flowers, arrange corn stalks, pumpkins and gourds, and get back to doing some good old home cooking. It's time to nestle in and make soups and stews and start new projects for the holidays and coming craft shows.
New seasons are always so inspiring. Look to the changing leaves, and changing light, all the new textures and patterns as Mother Nature readies the earth for the new season. Try your own hand at mixing new color palettes, take a new class so you can utilize new techniques in your designs - grow and evolve along with the season...
Below is a list of just a few of the new classes being taught at Buttercup Beads. Always remember to check the website for the full list and calendar of dates and time. Bead Soirees are a regular event every other week here at the store - to the regulars - thank you - to newbies - we hope you'll join us. They're always fun - sometimes loud - but always fun.
Lots of new store goodies added too - I did as much, if not more damage at Bead Fest than you did picking out unusual stuff - and already the loot is flying out the door. We get new shipments of new beady delights most every week - new czech, seeds, focals,- check out the new holiday porcelain beads- soooo cute!! - plus a large variety of class instructions are now available to purchase. Customers are loving them!
And thank you - thank you - thank you - to each and every one of you for your continued support and enthusiasm - we're coming up on three wonderful years now - and the ride has been wild. And it's all because of you.
Again, Carlie & I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Happy Autumn, Happy Beading everyone!
Andrea & Carlie
