Enhance your creativity as well as your confidence by taking one of our great little beading classes.   All beads and other class materials for classes that do not have kits prepared, should be purchased ahead of time in the store. If you can't come in the day before, please arrive at least 20 minutes early to gather your materials and choose your beads. Class fees are required to be paid in full at time of registration.

Bead boards, mats, some tools, and specialty lighting are available for community use, but it is always better when you can bring your own.  Besides, we like to see if you are using the proper tools! Our slippers however, are jealously guarded.  Please bring your own.  Oh! and while we love your little ones, the minimum age requirement to take a group class is 14.  Mother/daughter beginner classes for the younger students are available as private classes at no extra charge - just call for details.

Don't see a date that fits into your schedule?  No problem, just call us to see if we can arrange for a private class at no extra charge.

Class Policies:  All class fees are due at time of registration.  Class supplies - ie:  Beads and findings are to be purchased from Buttercup Beads. Tools and staples like beading needles and Fireline may be brought to class.  If a Kit Fee is indicated - then the kit must be purchased from the store for class. Andrea Mazzenga Classes

Because of her short attention span and love of beading, store owner and lampwork artist Andrea, teaches a wide variety of techniques in most every medium and skill level. She apparently thinks that because she is an Aries - she must learn to master everything - even if it means all at once. Somehow she gets through it. Hence, she offers a wide and varied menu of jewelry making classes. Let if be known, however, that she is notorious for being a few minutes late to class, probably because she has had way too many years of Catholic schooling which successfully cultivated her rebellious tendencies along with her perfect penmanship.

Andrea is also an authorized teacher of Candy Craig designs - Check out Candy's projects here!  Kits and tutorials are also available in the store.

Candy Craig Designs

Buttercup Beads is thrilled to be an auhorized distributor of Candra Craig designs.  Learn how to create one of her beautiful pieces by taking her class with Andrea Mazzenga, or teach yourself by buying a kit or tutorial!  Candy's tutorials are well written and easy to follow.  You will love making her designs!

Valerie Felcetto Classes

"It all started about 13 years ago when I broke up with a boyfriend and needed to find something to fill the void. A new bead shop opened in my neighborhood and I decided to take a class. Since then... I was hooked and a new passion was born. Beading has become an outlet for me in expressing my creativity and ideas. I like to make pieces that people can wear, as well as some that can just be a 'work of art'. I come from the Tri-State area... Born in NY... Grew up in NJ. I love the Jersey Shore in the summer and NYC during Christmas. I have a little chihuahua named Paris who is my love. She loves to sit next to me as I bead. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy creating them."

Wire, Metal, Pmc, Chainmaille, Mixed Media
Gina Struebel Classes

Gina Struebel specializes in one of-a-kind sculpted and woven wire art jewelry. Her pieces are inspired by nature and created to highlight the beauty of natural gemstones. She uses many different gauges of wire and cold fusion techniques such as coiling, weaving, wrapping and sculpting wire into beautiful one of kind wearable art jewelry. Her jewelry is handmade using natural gemstone and bead components, artisan custom cut cabochons, and copper, bronze, silver or gold wire along with handmade charms and findings. Her pieces have an elegant blend of traditional and contemporary designs, some delicate, some big and bold. She has been passionate about the arts all her life. Working in many mediums including drawing, painting, photography and graphic design. The love of design and art finally led her to working with metals, gemstones, beads and other mixed media components for jewelry. "I love the spontaneous nature of wire wrapping, I let the wire and gemstones (or mood) speak and guide me into what's to come and finding the perfect balance in the final creation. Working with wire and metal has been a fascinating and rewarding journey; I have finally found my passion!" Gina's designs can be found on her website: www.twistedandbent.com

Hey, Schtuff Happens.
Our Official Class Cancellation Policy.
(the fine print)

We understand that once in a while "schtuff happens" that may make you need to cancel attending your fantastic class.  We're sorry that these types of things insist on interfering with your beading world and please know that we understand and will certainly miss you in class.

So Here's what happens if (gasp!) - you (or we) need to cancel:  In order to compensate for our teacher's professional time and travel fees, class fees cannot be refunded. We will however, happily reschedule you into an alternate class date or time as long as you give us a full 48 hours notice in advance.

In the rare event that we would need to cancel a fantastic class on you for low attendance (rare), bad weather (like, we fear for your safety), or some other Act of God (like when Andrea went brain dead and forgot to order the materials...eh, it happened.  ONCE people - ONCE!) then naturally a refund will be granted to you if you can't make the rescheduled date. We will also be happy to switch you into another class entirely if your beading addiction won't let you wait for the new date.
